From April 7–9, 2025, Cape Town became the beating heart of the global travel industry as it hosted WTM Africa 2025 — and Tshomo Divine Travels was honored to be there, flying the flag for authentic, sustainable, and transformative African travel.
This year’s theme, “Ignite Africa,” could not have been more fitting. With a record-breaking 96 countries represented, a 27% increase in buyers (82% of whom were new to WTM Africa), and 38,559 appointment requests, the event reflected the world’s growing desire to reconnect with Africa’s landscapes, cultures, and people.
As exhibitors, we were proud to showcase our services and curated experiences across South Africa, Eswatini, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Namibia — destinations that are rich in heritage, wildlife, and unforgettable experiences.
Building Global Bridges: 30 Buyers, One Shared Goal
Over three packed days, Tshomo Divine Travels met with 30 international buyers, many of whom were attending WTM Africa for the first time. Among them were:
- Esther Omoche from Kenya – exploring regional itineraries that link East and Southern Africa.
- Godfrey Willy from Tanzania – focused on multi-country adventure circuits.
- Lilly Ajarova from Uganda – a passionate advocate for conservation tourism.
- Rodemarie Galang from the Philippines – excited to introduce Africa to Southeast Asian travelers.
- Dr. Terika Haynes from the USA – looking to develop educational and cultural experiences in Africa.
Each meeting highlighted a shared mission: to bring Africa to the world through meaningful travel experiences.
Our Promise: To Continue Carrying Africa’s Story Forward
As Tshomo Divine Travels, we walked away from WTM Africa 2025 encouraged and deeply committed. We’re not just selling destinations—we’re building bridges, telling stories, and opening doors to the magic that is Africa.
We thank WTM Africa for creating such a powerful platform for collaboration, connection, and celebration. As Alderman James Vos said in his opening speech, “Tourism is a game changer for communities, not just an industry.” We believe this wholeheartedly—and we are proud to play our part.
Here’s to the road ahead. Let’s keep taking Africa to the world.
